| When you have A Greener Cutt, Inc. come to your home for a quote on tile you will find that we do alot more than just lay tiles and leave. We would like to sit down and listen to your needs and wants, then help you develop a design that suits your tastes in any room throughout your unique home.
The first thing I like to do with my customers is inform them of any framing, plumbing and electrical issues that will be necessary to do it right the first time, so there are no big surprises after we do the demolition. After you understand the things unseen we will choose the materials and color of your tile and grout. This can take some time to do and we prefer to do this with you at the showroom that suites your tastes and will give you the best options.
If your schedule is to busy to do this we will shop for you and bring samples to your home or office even on a Sunday. You will also need to consider and choose fixtures, sinks, countertops, cabinetry, paint and trim depending on what room's we will be working on.
We will have a complete design and all materials on hand for you to approve prior to installation and in preparation for demolition. Most people think of demolition as some guy taking a sledge hammer through walls and recklessly destroying everything in his path, this is not what happens. Demolition is more of a careful and meticulous operation of removing existing materials in the areas that are to be remodeled without destroying the surrounding areas that are to be transitioned into.
Now that we have a clean slate we can get to work on all framing, plumbing, electrical, dry wall and backer board. These are the foundations for the finish work and when installed correctly the tile and other products you see will look and feel better.
It is now time, to measure out all the areas that are easily worked on while on our knees. We call this snapping a grid. We will now begin to trowel thin set mortar in these grids, install the tiles and move in to the next grid. Once the mortar has set for the proper time, we will clean between the tiles in preparation for the grout. Once the grout has been placed between the tiles, it will be wiped with a moist sponge to help clean excess material and smooth the lines. We then allow it to set.
Not done yet, we need to seal the tile and grout, caulk around showers and tubs, texture and paint around the project areas, then clean the entire jobsite and walk through with you to make sure there is nothing left to do and ensure you have been satisfied by A Greener Cutt, Inc.
